Diepen Susan 2023.JPG
Communications Director

In addition to managing membership and communications, Susan handles graphic design, most web development and maintenance, and also oversees technology integrations for CHART.

Our resident “figure it out” person, Susan can be seen fearlessly forging ahead into unknown territory to troubleshoot an app API, learn a new video-editing software, or to build a massive deck onto her house with her bare hands and a lot of Motrin.

Her most frequently used design/production programs include the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, and InDesign. Susan is WordPress proficient, with experience in Clowder, MODX, Memberclicks, Personify, Cvent, and ChamberMaster/GrowthZone.

Susan graduated with honors from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in Anthropology, with the goal of working with the Great Apes (which she did!). But after doing that for a while, she decided she’d rather end the day smelling like something other than gorilla poo, and tried out a few other paths before landing in a career in marketing, event planning, graphics, and web design. Susan has been with Eastwood since 2019.

She is based in South Haven, MI.

Master of Technology

When anything related to anything electronic or computer-based is not functioning, Joe makes it function. Like other Masters of Technology, he had no interest in producing a real bio for the website, and we had to track down a photo of him by contacting his wife.

Having attended over six universities, Joe is the most educated human being that ever chose to not bother graduating from College. He knows everything about everything.

He is based in Tower Lakes, IL.
